The Henry Moore Foundation opened their new gallery in July 2001 in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire.
Elgood Flooring were contacted by the foundation and consulted as to a suitable floor covering for the new gallery. The converted building had an unusual concrete floor which demanded careful consideration. In addition to the floor covering having to be functional, the floor also had to be both aesthetically pleasing and congruous with the surroundings of the gallery.
The Epoxy flooring was laid by trowel to an average thickness of 1mm with a finely textured finish to lend the floor a matt appearance.
