This was a fast track installation with a tight time frame which involved working two shifts most days. The floors were installed by our in-house team of trained operatives.

To ensure a timely start, inductions and deliveries were made in advance.

Having successfully completed similarly demanding installations using our own proven and purpose designed studio floor system, Elgood Flooring were approached by the designers acting on behalf of CGTN.

With Overbury’s strict critical path it was crucial that the floors were installed to the required standard the first time.

Set construction was booked to take place the day after completion.

A purpose built timber floor structure.

The Plywood was prepared by sanding and then sealed with our penetrating solvent free Epoxy priming coat.

Joints and screw holes were filled with our Epoxy mortar.

The Elgood Studio Floor System has been proven over 30 years with more than 130 studio installations.

The Elgood Universal Television Studio Floor Operating Surface laid to 6mm.

The floor is perfect for Multi Camera and Robotic Camera use.

Truly Single Source. The systems are designed, manufactured and installed by Elgood Industrial Flooring Ltd to meet the exacting criteria demanded by broadcasters.

The Studio floor received its coat of Mylands Semi Permanent Floor Paint 36 hrs after completion.
